Jack Schanbacher Eliminated in 16th Place ($13,732)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jack Schanbacher - 16th place
Jack Schanbacher - 16th place

Jack Schanbacher moved all in for slightly more than 200,000 in chips and one seat to his left Robbie Bakker moved all in. Everyone folded and Schanbacher's {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} was in bad shape against the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} that Bakker held.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} to give Bakker a set of kings and the {5-Clubs} on the turn changed that to a full house and Schanbacher was drawing dead. The river was an inconsequential {A-Spades} and Schanbacher was eliminated in 16th place for $13,732.

Steve Nguyen Eliminated in 17th Place ($13,732)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Steve Nguyen - 17th place
Steve Nguyen - 17th place

From early position, Steve Nguyen moved all in for 280,000 and the action folded all the way to Martin Godsk in the big blind. He peeked at his cards and then immediately called.

Nguyen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Godsk: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

After the {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs} flop, Nguyen was wishing his opponent to hit a queen as that would have given him a straight. The {9-Hearts} turn improved the hand of Godsk to a straight and the {2-Spades} river saw Nguyen hit the rail in 17th place for $13,732.

Deadman vs Salas ... again

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, we saw Simon Deadman check-call 56,000 on the {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop out of the small blind Damian Salas was once again his opponent and there was only a small bet on the {8-Hearts} turn.

On the {A-Diamonds} river, Deadman grabbed one of his T5,000 stacks, removed one chip and put four T1,000 chips instead to make it 199,000 to go. This time, Salas wasn't as nosy and folded his cards.

Richard Miller Eliminated in 18th Place ($13,732)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Martin Godsk started it off with a raise to 50,000 and would find three takers in Brian Hastings, Richard Miller, and Simon Deadman. The flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Deadman who had called from the big blind checked. Hastings followed suit but Miller would not as he would push his last 300,000 or so in chips into the middle. After getting a good look at how much it was, Deadman announced a call and Godsk and Hastings quickly folded.

"Good call," said Miller as he turned over {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for two overcards. Deadman had {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a pair of nines. The turn was the {8-Spades} and Miller would need an ace or jack on the river to stay alive. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Deadman added to his chip lead and eliminated Miller in 18th place in the process. Miller won his seat via the Hollywood Casino in Joliet, Illinois and turned that into a $13,732 payday.

Salas Doubles through Deadman

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Simon Deadman raised from early position and Damian Salas three-bet shoved for 424,000. All other players folded and Deadman called after getting the count.

Deadman: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Salas: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

This time, the Brit could not scoop the pot as the board ran out {J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and he nodded to his table neighbor with words "nice hand."

Deadman Takes from Salas

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Simon Deadman raised to 40,000 from the button and got two callers in Damian Salas and Martin Godsk in the blinds. On the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Salas bet 56,000 and only Deadman called to see the {A-Clubs} turn.

The second barrel of Salas was worth 86,000 and the Brit once again called before Salas then slowed down on the {A-Hearts} river. Deadman bet 204,000 and got a call to turn over the {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} as winning hand. So he can't just win big pots with pocket aces after all.

Schanbacher Getting Short

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jack Schanbacher opened to 42,000 and Robbie Bakker made it 93,000 to go. It was folded back to Schanbacher who peeked back at his cards several times before deciding to make the call. The flop came {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Schanbacher check-called a 72,000 chip bet from Bakker.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Bakker would move all in after Schanbacher checked. The Pittsburgh pro took his time, nearly two minutes, before deciding to let go of his hand. He now sits with just 15 big blinds at 360,000 in chips.

Yazici Doubles Again

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Bradley Yazici moved all in on Kitty Kuo's big blind giving pause to Kuo and prompting her to ask Yazici "always my big blind. Do you not like girls?"

Yazici couldn't help but crack a smile at that comment and would be smiling more after he doubled up against Kuo when she called with {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and was unable to best his {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} after a run out of {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Yazici moved up to 450,000 in chips while Kuo is still sitting comfortably with a big stack of 1,250,000
