A lot of May's

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

We walked past the table of Niall Farrell and the seat next to him was occupied by another player than we had seen before. Artur Koren three-bet shoved pocket fours into pocket tens to hit the rail.

And then, Farrell said with a smile on the face, "he may have" had doubled against the very same gentleman. "I may have had {A-}{9-} and he may have had {A-}{K-}. The board may have been {5-}{6-}{7-}{8-}{x-}." His new chip count is real though.

De la Rosa Shows Best Hand

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The pot was already quite big and we did see the dealer rush away the cards after a big river bet of Julio De la Rosa won him the pot on a {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-} board. De la Rosa showed {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and his opponent laughed and said "you had the best hand."

Three Seats Open

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Michiel Brummelhuis and Anthony Spinella exited the tournament are and Guillaume Darcourt did so some time ago as well. He was involved in a three-bet pot against two players with {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for middle pair and a flush draw on the flop.

One of the opponents however had pocket kings for top set and that held in order to eliminate the Frenchman.

Some Counts...

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Bababkhani Busts Massey

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A short stack had raised and Aaron Massey moved all in for what looked like 15,000. Amir Babakhani asked the other opponent how much he had left and then put both players at risk. The second opponent called with the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Massey had {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, Babakhani had them both beat with the {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

The board ran out {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and there were two seat open. Babakhani went on to tell how he usually runs bad with pocket kings after losing a crucial pot with said hand at the WPT Montreal.

Swingy Levels for Hall

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We had the last chip count for Galen Hall well below 50,000 and when we walked by, it was around 115,000. Was. Because he just lost a big pot after opening the action with a raise to 2,000 and then calling a three-bet by the player on the button for 4,800.

On the {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{A-Hearts} flop, Hall check-called 6,000 and did so again after the {3-Hearts} turn for 8,500. On the {2-Spades} river, the player on the button moved all in for 13,675 chips. Hall wasn't too thrilled but eventually ended up check-calling to muck the {A-Clubs} after he was shown {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.
