Oliveira Increases His Lead

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Portuguese player Pedro Oliveira began the day as a chip leader, and he's picked up right where he left off. Now, Oliveira boasts a stack of over 400,000 in chips, and here's a recent hand in which he chipped up against Steve McNally.

After one player checked the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board, McNally bet 6,600. Oliveira called, and the third player folded. The turn was the {5-Hearts}, and McNally tried firing again at the pot, this time for 11,500. Oliveira stood his ground and called. After the {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river, both players checked.

McNally tabled a pair of sixes with the {6-Spades}{3-Spades}, but that was no good against Oliveira's {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top pair of aces.

Karlic announced he was all in for about 64,000 chips and Yaginuma made the call right away.

Karlic: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Yaginuma: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} and Yaginuma's pocket pair held up to send Karlic to the rail.

Lewis Gets Some Back

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

As we strolled in-between the tables we noticed that Toby Lewis and Ravi Raghavan were tangled up in a pot again.

The board read {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} when a player bet 5,600 and Lewis called from his immediate left. Raghavan tanked for a bit before folding, and heads up two players saw the river.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Lewis who bet 4,500 and his opponent called. Lewis showed {Q-Spades}{6-Spades} and he raked in the pot.

European Poker Tour winner Toby Lewis and World Poker Tour winner Ravi Raghavan just tangled in a pot that went to showdown, and the latter managed to chip up.

The flop showed {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} when we picked up the action as Lewis check-called 3,800 from the small blind.

On the turn the {3-Hearts} hit and Lewis checked again, after which Raghavan bet 8,100.

Lewis confirmed the size of the bet, and made the call.

On the river the {J-Spades} hit and both players checked. Lewis tabled {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and that was no good against Raghavan's {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.
