Day 1b of the Hollywood Poker Open Championship Starts Now!

The Hollywood Poker Open returns to the luxurious M Resort Spa Casino today with the second of two starting flight for its Season Four $2,500 Championship Event.

Thursday's first starting flight drew 273 entries, ultimately playing down to just 83 remaining with Kansas City's Frank Patti grabbing the overnight chip lead.

Through the first three seasons of this event, the average field size approached 700 entries with an average first-place prize of $340,000 and a full house is expected today.

The event allows players unlimited reentries and registration is open all the way up until the start of Day 2. Literally hundreds of qualifiers from around the country and top players here in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker are expected to participate.

The HPO Championship event in Las Vegas has been covered on PokerNews since Season 1, when it was Ana Marquez who captured the biggest title of her poker career.
