Hoffecker Finds Kings and Another Double

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Sam Cittadino raised to 3,200 from under the gun, and CT Hoffecker three-bet shoved for 10,700 in middle position. Action folded back to Cittadino, who called.

CT Hoffecker: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Sam Cittadino: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Hoffecker dodged a queen on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board to earn the double.

"Nice hand, sir...I was just saying the deck was slapping me in the face, I spoke too soon!" Cittadino told Hoffecker after the hand.

Inaugural HPT Ameristar Vicksburg Champ Bishop Ends Baldwin's Run

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Hand 1:

Jessie Baldwin raised to 1,300 from the small blind, and Jay Bishop, who won the very first HPT Ameristar Vicksburg Main Event held here in 2014 for $39,129, called in the big blind.

Baldwin bet 2,000 on a {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop, and Bishop called.

Baldwin continued for 4,000 when the {q-Spades} fell on the turn, and Bishop called again.

On the {9-Diamonds} river, Baldwin emptied the clip with a bet of 13,000, and Bishop made a quick call. Baldwin could only muster up {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, while Bishop tabled {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a pair of aces and the winner.

Hand 2:

A few hands later, Baldwin raised to 1,500 from the cutoff, and Bishop three-bet to 5,000 on the button. Baldwin called, leaving himself 4,600 behind.

Baldwin checked the {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} flop, and Bishop bet enough to put Baldwin at risk for his last 4,600. Baldwin thought for a few moments, then tossed in his remaining chips.

Jessie Baldwin: {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Jay Bishop: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Bishop ended matters early when the {a-Diamonds} gave him unbeatable trips, and Baldwin took his leave after the {5-Diamonds} hit the river.

"I think you had his number," a tablemate told Bishop, who grinned as he collected the last of Baldwin's chips.

Ho Forces a Fold

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Sam Ho
Sam Ho

A player raised to 800 on the button, and only Sam Ho made the call in the small blind.

Ho checked in the dark before the {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop fell, and the button bet 800. Ho quickly called.

Both players checked the {a-Clubs} turn, and after the {k-Spades} fell on the river, Ho fired 2,000. His opponent tossed the {q-Diamonds} faceup on the felt before mucking his other card, and Ho took down the pot.

Berry Hangs On

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
James Berry
James Berry

On an {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, the cutoff checked over to James Berry on the button, who bet 1,000. The cutoff quickly flicked in a chip to call.

Both players checked the {3-Hearts} turn, and the cutoff fired 2,200 when the {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Berry called, and the cutoff tossed his hand towards the muck, while Berry rolled over {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for eights-up and the winner.

Hoffecker Gets Lucky to Double Through Hart

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
CT Hoffecker
CT Hoffecker

CT Hoffecker had his last 10,800 in chips in the pot from the cutoff, and Rhonda Hart had him at risk with a call in the big blind. Joseph Imarata, who had 3,200 invested from middle position, tanked for a minute before turning over {q-}{q-} as he mucked.

CT Hoffecker: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Rhonda Hart: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Imarata shook his head after seeing he had laid down the best hand, while Hoffecker was looking for some help to best the ace-queen of Hart. The {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop gave Hoffecker a flush draw, and the {j-Hearts} turn provided him the nut flush and a lock on the hand before the {10-Spades} could fall on the river.
