Patten Wins on Turn

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Terry Patten
Terry Patten

A player in middle position raised to 1,300 and Terry Patten called on his direct left. Ryan Wosk was on the button and also called, as did the big blind. The four players saw a flop of {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades} and action checked to Patten, who bet 2,000. Wosk called and the other two players folded.

The turn came {8-Spades} and Wosk fired another bet of 2,000 into the middle. Wosk quickly mucked and Patten took down the pot.

Thompson's Top Pair Wins

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Craig Thompson
Craig Thompson

A player limped in from under the gun and Barry Faecher limped in behind him. Action then folded around to the small blind, who completed and put action onto Craig Thompson in the big blind, who checked his option.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and all four players checked. The dealer brought the turn {7-Hearts} and the small blind checked. Thompson bet 500 and the under-the-gun player and Faecher folded. The small blind called, taking action heads up to the river {10-Spades}, where both players checked to showdown.

Thompson tabled {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a pair of sevens and his opponent mucked, unable to beat said pair as Thompson raked in the pot.

Lantzy Doubles With Big Slick

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ross Lantzy
Ross Lantzy

Ross Lantzy's table has been audible from the far end of the room all day and it was only a matter of time before that translated into chips flying.

Lantzy shoved all in for his last 10,800 from early position and was called by the player in the hijack. After everybody else folded, it was time to turn up the cards.

Lantzy emphatically threw down {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, meanwhile his opponent tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and a profanity to go along with it, matching the table's raucous energy and being met with laughter.

The dealer brought the flop {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Lantzy began to fist pump to go along with the laughter that was still occurring. The turn and river came {3-Hearts}{5-Spades} and he secured the double.

Lantzy Gives Some Back

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Having just doubled up, Ross Lantzy opened from early position to 1,700 while singing, "now I have a shitload of chips." Adrian Crededio was on his direct left and three-bet to 5,000 out of middle position, jesting that he was going to shut Lantzy up.

Action folded back to Lantzy and he put in chips to call. The flop came {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Lantzy checked. Crededio continued, putting in a bet of 7,000. Lantzy went into the tank, saying he didn't believe Crededio.

Eventually, he folded, showing {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} face up. Crededio turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} to show he had a better hand, albeit an unpaired one.
