Yazdi Check-Raises Bishop

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Reza Yazdi opened from early position to 1,300 and received a call from the player on the hijack. Paul Bishop was in the cutoff and three-bet to 5,000. Both Yazdi and the hijack called.

The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and action checked to Bishop, who put in 7,000 of the remaining 18,000 or so left in his stack. Yazdi announced he was all in and put in the 10 red T$5,000 chips he had. The hijack quickly folded and Bishop thought for a bit before slowly sliding his cards forward to the muck.

Fadeyi Makes a Straight

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Dapo Fadeyi
Dapo Fadeyi

There was around 8,000 in the pot going five ways to the flop between the small blind, Dapo Fadeyi in the big blind, Cliff Flesher in the hijack as well as the players in the cutoff and on the button.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and action checked to the cutoff who bet 3,200. The players on the button and in the small blind folded and both Fadeyi and Flesher called, taking action three-handed to the turn {4-Spades} where all three players checked.

The river fell {8-Clubs} and Fadeyi and Flesher checked once more. The cutoff bet 3,500 and both players called.

Upon calling and completing all action, Flesher tabled {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines. The cutoff mucked.

Fadeyi then turned over {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a straight and raked in the pot.

McCarthy Takes From Yazdi

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

There was a mountain of chips in the pot on a board of {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Keith McCarthy had a bet of 15,000 out in front of him from the big blind. Action was on Reza Yazdi, who was on the button, and he went into the tank for about 3 minutes before making the call.

McCarthy tabled {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for aces up and Yazdi mucked.

After the hand McCarthy said that he had been the aggressor the whole way, having raised preflop before betting large on the flop and turn. He said his 15,000 bet on the river was made blind before the ace came, and in the end, he said the hand played out "just like [he] drew it up."

Jensen Wins Flip, Gets Knockout

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Ben Jensen limped in from under the gun and action folded around to the cutoff who limped behind. The player on the button also limped in and the small blind completed. The big blind then shoved all in for 12,700 and Jensen decided to make the call. All remaining players folded and it was time to run out the cards.

Ben Jensen: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Jensen was in a coin flip situation and saw his fortunes become brighter instantly with a king in the window as the board ran out {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} and he padded his stack while knocking another player out of the tournament.

Smith Raises the Turn

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

There was at least 15,000 in the pot as the dealer fanned a flop of {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}. The small blind checked and Martin Smith bet 2,600 from early position. The players in the cutoff and on the button folded and the small blind put out chips to call.

The turn came {a-Diamonds} and the small blind led out for 9,000. Smith put out four T$5,000 chips to raise to 20,000 and the small blind thought for a few seconds before folding.

As he collected the pot, Smith asked his opponent from across the table if he had folded a big pocket pair. He got a nod in the direction of "yes" as a response, and told his opponent that he had made a good fold.
