Clemente Ships Double Knockout

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Dan Clemente limped in from early position and saw a raise from Nader Wahdan to 900 from middle position. The small blind called, as did Clemente and the three went to a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Action checked to Wahdan who made a continuation-bet of 4,700. The small blind went all in for less than a starting stack and Clemente shoved over the top. Wahdan called off his chips as well and the three turned up their hands.

Dan Clemente: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Nader Wahdan: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Small Blind: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Clemente had flopped a set and was ahead of the small blind's top pair with top kicker and Wahdan's overpair of jacks. The turn came {a-Spades} to give the small blind four outs in addition to Wahdan's two but Clemente faded all six when the river {6-Hearts} fell and he raked in both the main and side pots to build a healthy stack early on in the day.

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Tai Nguyen raised to 600 from middle position and found one caller from the cutoff. The flop fell {5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Nguyen made a continuation-bet of 1,400. The cutoff called and the turn came {j-Hearts}. Nguyen fired another barrel for 3,000 and his opponent thought for a few moments before calling.

The river was {3-Hearts} and Nguyen fired a third barrel, putting out one red, T$5,000 chip. After a few moments, his opponent folded and he raked in the pot.

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

A player limped in from under the gun and Jeff Fielder limped in behind him from middle position. Another player limped behind Fielder from the hijack and Michael Wyant pumped it up to 3,00. Only Fielder called and the two saw a flop of {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Fielder checked and Wyant made a continuation-bet of 5,000. Fielder called.

Skrzelowski Hits the Nuts

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

A player in early position raised to 900 and David Skrzelowski three-bet to 1,900 from middle position. Action folded back to the original raiser and he made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of {4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades} and Skrzelowski saw his continuation-bet of 1,000 check-raised to 2,200. He made the call and the dealer brought the turn {9-Clubs}. Skrzelowski's opponent slowed down and checked to him. He then ade a bet of 1,500 and was called.

The river came {k-Hearts} and Skrzelowski's opponent checked to him once again. He fired a bet of 4,000 into the middle and his opponent went into the tank for over a minute before calling.

Skrzelowski tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for the nut flush and took down the pot upon his opponent mucking.

Roller Coaster Start for Keeline

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Ben Keeline registered the tournament a while before the first break and is currently sitting with a stack of 37,000. According to Keeline, the journey from the starting stack of 30,000 was far from linear. He said in two orbits of play he watched his stack go from 30,000 up to 32,300 before losing a pot with {q-}{q-} on a {j-}{10-}{7-}{9-}{k-} board versus {a-}{q-}. From there, he chipped up to 11,000 and then to 18,000 before finding a double up before the break to reach his current total. Keeline is looking to make Day 2 in today's heat after failing to do so yesterday.
