The cutoff called and the turn came {j-Hearts}. Nguyen fired another barrel for 3,000 and his opponent thought for a few moments before calling.

The river was {3-Hearts} and Nguyen fired a third barrel, putting out one red, T$5,000 chip. After a few moments, his opponent folded and he raked in the pot.

Clemente Ships Double Knockout

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Dan Clemente limped in from early position and saw a raise from Nader Wahdan to 900 from middle position. The small blind called, as did Clemente and the three went to a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Action checked to Wahdan who made a continuation-bet of 4,700. The small blind went all in for less than a starting stack and Clemente shoved over the top. Wahdan called off his chips as well and the three turned up their hands.

Dan Clemente: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Nader Wahdan: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Small Blind: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Clemente had flopped a set and was ahead of the small blind's top pair with top kicker and Wahdan's overpair of jacks. The turn came {a-Spades} to give the small blind four outs in addition to Wahdan's two but Clemente faded all six when the river {6-Hearts} fell and he raked in both the main and side pots to build a healthy stack early on in the day.

Pahlavan Cracks Aces With Flush

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Afshin Pahlavan opened to 600 from early position and was three-bet by the player on his left to 2,200. Action folded back to him and he called.

The dealer fanned a flop of {8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Pahlavan checked to his opponent, who made a continuation-bet of 2,200. Pahlavan made the call and the turn came {3-Hearts}. Pahlavan led out for 2,700 and his opponent called.

The river fell {5-Diamonds} and Pahlavan threw in another bet for 6,000. His opponent thought for a couple seconds and then flung in chips to call.

Pahlavan tabled {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a flush and his opponent showed {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} for the second-best hand of aces up.

Moon Gets Three Streets

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Chris Moon raised to 300 from middle position and received calls from Nader Wahdan in the hijack as well as both the small- and big blinds. The flop came {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs} and action checked to Moon who made a continuation-bet of 700. All three players called.

The turn fell {7-Clubs} and action again checked to Moon. He fired a second barrel for 2,200 and Wahdan called. Both blinds folded and action went heads up to the river {5-Spades}. Moon announced a bet of 2,500 and Wahdan thought for about 20 seconds before tossing in chips to call.

Moon tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for tens up.

"Nice hand," Wahdan said as he mucked his hand and the pot was sent Moon's way.

The tournament attracted 930 runners - a new Colorado state record - and created a $316,200 prize pool.

Among those to finish in the top 94 and make the money was Thomas Moore (11th - $4,269), Phanora Prom (12th - $4,269), Chandler Duncan (20th - $1,834), David Quick (30th - $1,613), Travis Northrope (34th - $1,613), Greg Geller (35th - $1,613), Barry Faecher (53rd - $1,233), James Swan (70th - $1,007), and Max Chrisp (80th - $950).

In the end, Andreas Ramadanis was crowned the champ after working a three-way deal that left $9,000 on the table to play for.
