Casino Taking on the Big Stacks

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Mangold's table broke and he was rerouted to Craig Casino's left. Casino just leveled Daniel Carrales' former tourney leading stack and just took a bite out of Mangold's stack.

We caught them on the flop of {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Mangold bet 12,000, Casino raised to 28,000 and Mangold popped it to 75,000. Casino moved all in for a total of 148,200 and Mangold tanked. He announced a verbal fold after some pained expression.

Casino showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, which sent Mangold out of his seat. "F'n A, man. Well played Craig," he said after returning to the table.

Day 1A on the Backstretch, Registration Closed

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 12,000 ante

Cards are back in the air following the break and the field picked up a few more entrants - bumping the total number to 81. It's a vast improvement over 2018's Valentine's' flight that only drew 48.

There are 35 remaining players spread across four tables. They'll play the full 15 levels unless they reach a hard stop of ten remaining players - 12% of the field.

Lowenthal Runs Out of Steam

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 12,000 ante

Craig Dubberstein opened on the button and Eli Lowenthal shoved from the small blind. Dubberstein called holding {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} and the short-stacked Lowenthal tabled {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

The board ran {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{8-Spades}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Lowenthal's cards were in the muck as the river hit and Dubberstein joined the century club.

Casino's Heater Continuing After Dinner

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The details are a little fuzzy as the players at the table replayed the action for us. Craig Casino opened to 2,700, Jason Mangold raised to 10,000 and a third player called. Casino called and the flop came {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Casino check-called 10,000 on the flop, the turn came {8-Clubs} and Casino check-called 15,000. The river came an offsuit six, Casino bet 60,000, Mangold shoved and Casino called.

Casino tabled {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for the nut flush and Mangold had air with {10-}{7-}.

Mangold Can't Stop the Bleeding

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Jason Mangold and Ben Keeline put in 4,800 preflop and the dealer spread {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Mangold bet 2,000, Keeline raised to 4,500 and Mangold called. The turn came {9-Hearts}, both players checked and the river came {10-Clubs}.

Mangold checked, Keeline bet 6,000 and Mangold check-raised to 30,000. Keeline thought for a moment, tossed in calling chips and Mangold showed {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Keeline tabled {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to take the pot.
