Final Day 1 Flight Expecting a Large Draw

The third and final Day 1 flight for the $1,650 HPT Black Hawk Main Event kicks off at noon and all signs point to a rather large field. The first two flights drew 81 and 221 respectively and advanced 15 and 34 players to Sunday's Day 2. David Litt leads all the advancing players with 603,000.

Fifteen, 40-minute levels are scheduled for play with registration open until after the dinner break - approximately 7:30 pm. There are an additional five satellite tables on the second floor to help handle the expected crowd.

Faraz Jaka Invents the "Relaxed Fold"

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

We caught up with this hand on the turn with a board of {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}. Gino Martinez, a local player with flair, checked, Faraz Jaka bet 5,000 and Martinez raised.

"That's a relaxed bet," he said and raised to 10,000.

Jaka moved all in for about 20,000 more and Martinez let his hand go. "That's a relaxed fold," he replied.

While the dealer was shuffling the next hand, Aaron Massey needled Martinez from across the table, "Gino, why are you trying to bluff the pro? Gino!"
