Ballentine Boats Up to Double Up

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

We missed the preflop action play out but we do know it resulted in Brent Ballentine getting his stack of 64,600 all in preflop in a race situation.

Ballentine: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Ballentine was looking to hold but did better than that by flopping top set on the {5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop. The {9-Hearts} turn secured him the double with a full boat and he was pushed the pot after the {3-Hearts} was run out on the river.

Casino Adds to His Stack

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A pot of about 60,000 was in the middle with a board that read {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Craig Casino bet 47,000 on the river putting his opponent into a tough situation. His opponent thought for about a minute before cutting out the chips to make the call.

Casino showed the {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for trip fives which was the winner as his opponent mucked his hand. Casino continues his surge among the chip leaders.

Dollinger Knocks Out Two

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
John Dollinger
John Dollinger

Two players, including Dan Hummer, were seen walking away from the table.

They appeared to be the victims of John Dollinger who was stacking the two chip stacks into his own.

While we missed the hand this gives us a good excuse to give an update on Dollinger's stack.

Friedman Takes Huge Pot From Rossitto

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Adam Friedman in Day 1a action
Adam Friedman in Day 1a action

A huge pot was in progress with already over 100,000 in the pot as the board read {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

On the turn Michael Rossitto thought for a while before checking to Friedman who also took his time before pushing all in for his remaining stack. Rossitto sighed but put in the call after a moment.

Friedman quickly turned over the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the nut straight leaving Rossitto's {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} drawing very thin. The river was the {9-Clubs} which was no help to Rossitto.

The dealer counted out Friedman's all-in shove which was 174,900. Leaving Rossitto down significantly from his earlier high and launching Friedman into the chip lead.

Rossitto in a Monster Pot

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

With a limp from the cutoff the button raised to 8,000 and Michael Rossitto reraised it to 30,000. The button made the call. The flop came {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Rossitto checked and the button bet 21,000. Rossitto just callled.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and Rossitto checked. The button bet 40,000 and Rossitto went all in for 160,000 and the button called.

Rossitto: {j-}{j-}
Opponent: {k-}{k-}

The river was the {9-Diamonds} but it changed nothing and Rossitto doubled up to 340,000.
