Wetzel More Than Doubles Up With River Flush

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The player in Seat 7 moved all in for a small amount and Brandon Wetzel came over the top, pushing his remaining 130,000 all in.

Having both players covered, Hal Rotholz considered the all ins and decided to make the call.

Wetzel was in the best shape as he turned over the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, Seat 7 showed the {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Rotholz revealed {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The flop looked good for Rotholz's attempt to eliminate two players as it came {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts} to give him a set of eights. But the backdoor heart flush would come home for Wetzel when the turn was the {a-Hearts} and the river the {7-Hearts} to keep him alive and send Seat 7 to the payout desk.

Moorehead Sends Goodrich to the Rail

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With 32,000 in the pot and a flop of {7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Jeff Goodrich got his stack of 120,000 all in and was at risk against Rick Moorehead, who barely had him covered with 126,000.

Moorehead: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Goodrich: {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Moorehead was ahead with a set but Goodrich was drawing to an open-ended straight draw. The {a-Clubs} turn was of no consequence and neither was the {2-Spades} river.

Goodrich missed and headed to the payout desk in 47th place to collect $3,323.

Wagner's Four-Bet Shove Gets Through

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The board read {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Action was on Daniel Wagner who was facing a big decision. It appeared as though action had been an initial 36,000 bet from Brian Frye that was then raised by Wagner to 66,000 and Frye had re-popped it to 175,000 with a three-bet.

Wagner thought for over a couple of minutes, seemingly tortured by the decision. Then decided to four-bet shove all in for 311,000.

It was now Frye's turn to be tortured with a decision as he thought for a over a minute before eventually laying it down.

"What did you have?" asked Frye

"I can't tell you that information man, you didn't show me," replied Wagner as he mucked his cards and raked in the huge pot.

Friedman Builds on his Chip Lead

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

On the board of {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} it was checked around. The river was the {6-Spades} and Shawn Roberts bet 37,000. Adam Friedman in the cutoff raised to 125,000 and Roberts tanked a long time before folding.

Friedman showed him the {9-Spades}, showing him he wasn't bluffing with his three nines. More importantly Friedman is well over a million in chips now and at the top of the leader board.
