The HPT Lawrenceburg stop actually kicked off last weekend with Event #1: $300 Monster Stack, which crushed its $75K GTD by drawing 685 runners and creating a $174,675 prize pool.
Among those to cash the tournament were Derrick Rose (27th - $1,100), Jeremy Pistor (13th - $1,904), Thomas Mayer (5th - $7,983), and Cameron Douglas (3rd - $15,633). In the end, Adam Bacon defeated Marvin Tuckett in heads-up play to win the title and $38,189 top prize.

Bruce Hugon opened to 700 from middle position and was called by Trevor Warren in the cutoff, Brandon Banet on the button, and Matthew Rohrer in the small blind.
The flop fell and the action checked to Warren who bet 1,100. Nobody wanted to let go of their cards yet as the other three players all called to see the on the turn.
Rohrer led out for 2,500 this time which got Hugon to fold but Warren and Banet still called. The river was the and Rohrer opted to check now. Warren announced a bet of 3,500 and both Banet and Rohrer slid their cards to the muck.

Picking up the action on the turn with a board of already spread across the felt, Bob Koch in the small blind was heads-up with the player in the cutoff.
Koch checked and his opponent bet 5,200 into a pot of around 7,000. Koch thought for a minute before making the call and the completed the board. Koch checked again and his opponent counted out a bet of 11,200. Koch instantly tossed a single chip in to signify a call and turned over .
That proved to be good enough to earn the pot as his opponent shook his head and mucked his cards.

There were plenty of cards Hiudt needed to dodge in order to stay alive and the on the river happened to be one of them as he let out a sigh of relief.
