Songer Gets Rewarded

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ronnie Day raised it up to 50,000 on the button and Angela Shade called from the small blind. Douglas Songer shipped all in for 485,000 from the big blind and Day moved in over the top as well, forcing Shade to fold.

Douglas Songer: {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Ronnie Day: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} to give Songer a straight draw and some more outs. The {8-Clubs} on the turn made Songer's straight and Day was drawing dead to the {7-Spades} on the river. Songer scooped a full a double up and Day slipped to just five big blinds.

Shin Leaves Havener on Crumbs

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Don Havener bumped it up to 75,000 on the button and Mike Shin jammed all in for 525,000 out of the big blind. Havener asked for a count but then quickly made the call to put Shin at risk.

Mike Shin: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Don Havener: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Shin was already in the lead and the flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} increased his odds even more. The {j-Hearts} on the turn kept Havener alive but the {9-Clubs} on the river sent the chips towards Shin.

Another Lucky River for Songer

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The action folded to Douglas Songer on the button who raised it up to 55,000. Michael Sabbia three-bet to 175,000 in the big blind and Songer called. The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Sabbia continued for 175,000 which Songer called.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {7-Hearts} on the river. Sabbia shipped all in for 590,000 and Songer snapped him off. Sabbia tabled {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} but Songer spiked the river with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Havener Drops to Snuffer

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Iverson Snuffer just made a big call against Gregory Wood to double up and he was back in the action again just a couple of hands later. Snuffer raised to 110,000 on the button and Don Havener pushed all in for 420,000 in the big blind. Snuffer asked for a count and then made the call.

Iverson Snuffer: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Don Havener: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} to give Havener the lead as he stood up from his seat. However, Snuffer spiked the {10-Hearts} on the turn to retake the lead. The {8-Diamonds} on the river improved Snuffer to a full house and Havener was eliminated.

Yim Runs Into Janssen's Monster

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

In a blind vs blind pot, the flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. George Janssen checked from the small blind and Hae Yim checked it back from the big blind.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Janssen led out for 50,000. Yim called and the {9-Clubs} on the river put five clubs on the board. Janssen made a pot-sized bet of 225,000 and Yim ripped all in for 720,000.

"Do you have a straight flush?" Janssen asked. "I don't think I'm folding." The dealer counted the chips and Janssen indeed made the call.

Yim was forced to show his {7-Hearts}{6-Spades} to play the board and Janssen held {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Yim sent all of his chips next door and Janssen moved into the chip lead with just two tables remaining.
