Raghavan Gets Tested by Davidson

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ravi Raghavan
Ravi Raghavan

Nick Davidson raised to 7,000 from the cutoff, and Ravi Raghavan three-bet to 21,000 on the button. Davidson called, then checked in the dark.

The {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop was checked behind by Raghavan, and the {2-Hearts} fell on the turn. Davidson bet 16,000 and Raghavan called.

Davidson slid a tower of 5k chips in the pot after the {2-Diamonds} hit the river, putting Raghavan in for his last 49,000. Raghavan folded.

Cooler Flop Spells the End For Tran

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Andy Tran
Andy Tran

Andy Tran got his last 75,000 in chips in on a {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, and Peter Palanca had him at risk in the cutoff.

Andy Tran: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Peter Palanca: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Both players had straight and flush draws, but the {10-Clubs} turn left Palanca looking for just a four that wasn't a diamond to survive. The {2-Clubs} bricked off, and Tran shook hands with his tablemates before making his exit.

Davidson Running White Hot

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Nick Davidson, the defending champ of this very event, has been on an absolute tear since the last break, and just now eliminated another player from his table.

The button jammed for around 35,000, and Davidson looked down at this hand and quickly called.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Nick Davidson: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Davidson didn't get a sweat on a {3-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board, and the deathly quiet room got a loud, "F*** this game!" from the eliminated player, to a chorus of laughter from the table.

"We're on fire!" Davidson said with a sheepish grin, as he raked in the pot to grow his stack to nearly 400,000.

Blazer Gets Tricky With Aces

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Edward Blazer
Edward Blazer

Edward Blazer limped in from early position, as did a player in middle position and Jim Casement in the cutoff. The big blind raised to 8,500, and Blazer quickly three-bet to 22,500, chasing out the middle position player and Casement. The big blind called.

On the {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, the big blind led for 20,000 and Blazer waved his hand and said, "All in," covering the big blind's remaining 110,000.

The big blind tanked for a few minutes, reclining back in his chair at one point, before finally giving his hand a reluctant toss into the muck. Blazer tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} before raking in the pot.

Ivens Finds Kings and a Double; Orfanos Ousted

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Todd Ivens
Todd Ivens

Todd Ivens, who has been pushing his stack with regularity since the break, got his last 51,500 in from middle position and was looked up by the button.

Todd Ivens: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Ivens got a small sweat when the {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} added a few more outs for the button, but the {k-Diamonds} locked up the hand for Ivens, and to add insult to injury, the {k-Clubs} hit the river to give Ivens quads.

At another table, Yanni Orfanos was eliminated.
