Rennier and Holdaiy Tangle

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Igor Holdaiy raised to 2,100 from the button, and Thomas Rennier called in the small blind.

Rennier led out for 2,200 on the {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, and Holdaiy raised to 5,100. Rennier called.

Rennier checked again on the {5-Hearts} turn, and Holdaiy bet 7,700.

"Raise," Rennier said before tossing 20,000 into the pot. Holdaiy folded, and Rennier showed his {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} before raking in the pot.

Hoeft Ousted By Apter

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Danny Hoeft
Danny Hoeft

Josh Tucker raised to 1,800 from the cutoff, and was called by Brett Apter on the button, James Eberhardt in the small blind, and Danny Hoeft in the big blind.

Action checked to Tucker on a {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, and he bet 2,100. Apter raised to 6,300, and after Eberhardt folded, Hoeft three-bet shoved for 17,100. Tucker then four-bet jammed, enough to put Apter at risk for his last 43,800 total. Apter tanked for a minute, then called.

Danny Hoeft: {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Brett Apter: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Josh Tucker: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

It was a three-way battle of draws, but Apter left Hoeft drawing dead when the {k-Spades} fell on the turn. Tucker could still hit a non-heart ten or five to earn the double knockout, but the {q-Diamonds} river sent the six-figure pot to the WSOP Bracelet winner Apter.

Dobrinich's Turn to Double

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Michael McKuin raised to 2,100 from under the gun, and was called by Jody Dobrinich from the cutoff and Jonathan Williams in the big blind.

Action checked through the {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, and the {6-Hearts} fell on the turn. Williams bet 2,800, and McKuin folded. Dobrinich snap-jammed his last 15,500 in, and Williams called after a few moments of thought.

Jody Dobrinich: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Jonathan Williams: {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Williams couldn't improve on the {a-Hearts} river, and Dobrinich doubled up.

Christopher Audrain raised to 3,200 from the hijack, and was called by John Thornton in the cutoff and Ryan Tepen in the big blind.

Rennier Leads and Succeeds

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jeffrey Schroeder raised to 2,500 from the button, and Thomas Rennier called in the big blind.

Rennier check-called a bet of 3,500 from Schroeder on the {5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, then check-called a 5,500 bet on the {4-Clubs} turn.

The {k-Hearts} fell on the river, and Rennier led out for 13,000, which cause Schroeder to lean up out of his chair for a moment. A minute would pass before Schroeder elected to let his hand go, sending the pot to Rennier.
