Ryan Tepen Eliminated in 18th Place ($5,532); Paul Belken Eliminated in 17th Place ($5,532); Thomas Rennier Eliminated in 16th Place ($5,532)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ryan Tepen
Ryan Tepen

Ryan Tepen jammed for 74,000 from early position, and Thomas Rennier three-bet shoved for 225,000 from the hijack. Austin McCormick called on the button, and Paul Belken called off his last 100,000 in the big blind.

Ryan Tepen: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Paul Belken: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Thomas Rennier: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Austin McCormick: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Belken's aces held on the {4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, but McCormick picked up two outs for a triple knockout on the {q-Spades} turn. The table gasped when the {q-Diamonds} hit the river, and McCormick went from last place before the flop to a miracle winner on the river to knock Day 1a chip Leader Tepen, former HPT St. Louis champ Belken, and Rennier all out in a single hand!

Tae Makes a Big Laydown

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Justin Coliny checked an {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades} board from the small blind, and Lucas Tae bet 40,000 into a pot of 100,000 from the big blind.

"All in," was Coliny's quick response, and he jammed for 326,000, sending Tae into the tank.

After ninety seconds, a clock was called, and Tae didn't take much longer to throw his {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} face-up to the muck. Coliny didn't show.

Thompson Turns a Set to Double Huge

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Mark Thompson

Four players invest 22,000 to see a {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop together, and action checked to Ryan Tepen on the button. Tepen bet 35,000, and only Mike Thompson called in the big blind.

Thompson checked the {7-Spades} turn to Tepen, who bet 75,000. Thompson check-raised all in for 612,000, and Tepen called.

Mike Thompson: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Ryan Tepen: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Tepen's trip kings had been caught by the turned full house of Thompson, and the {5-Hearts} river kept Thompson out in front for the monster pot.
