The Heartland Poker Tour stop in Daytona Beach saw 445 total entry slips sold throughout the first three starting flights and only 79 of those slips will be returning today at 12:10 p.m. local time, to battle it out for an HPT final table appearance.

The start of day chipleader is Wayne Zielinski with an impressive 446,000 that he bagged during the last starting flight. Following behind the leader is Tony Nguyen who spun up a stack of 405,000 in Day 1b, and is the only other person to secure a stack above the 400,000 mark.

Three other big stacks that round out the top five include Martin Borras (366,000), Sean Iannucci (355,000), and Eric Chastain (335,000). Chastain will be entering the day fifth overall on the standing after topping the Day 1a flight and will be someone to watch for as the day unfolds.

Many established poker players are entering Day 2, including Charles Johnson (308,000), Tony Miles (278,000), Brandon Caputo (217,000), Michael Rossitto (214,000), James Millman (211,000), David Jackson (175,000) and, of course, Maurice Hawkins who will be starting the day with 146,000, just under the average.

The day will begin on level 16 with blinds of 2,000/5,000 and a big blind ante of 5,000. There will be a 15-minute break after every three levels of play and a 45-minute dinner break will be scheduled. The tournament will redraw at 27 and 10, with the final nine making to the third and final day of the event.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be here to bring you all of the updates in the HPT Daytona Beach Main Event, so stay tuned as all of the action unfolds.
