Hassan Three-Bets, Ojala Makes It Four

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Henri Ojala had opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 25,000 and Vasyl Laba had called from middle position. Merivan Hassan was in the cutoff and made it 75,000 to go.

Ojala then four-bet to 190,000, which was enough to take down the pot preflop. Both players are playing over a million a chips as the field is shrinking steadily.

Boatman Eliminated in Two Blind-On-Blind Encounters

Level 22 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Ross Boatman
Ross Boatman

The action folded to old-school legend Ross Boatman in the small blind, who made it 40,000 to go. Big blind Stefan Bratanov obliged and the pair saw the flop of {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} appear.

Boatman continuation-bet for 40,000 after inquiring about his opponent's stack and Bratanov called once more.

Boatman slowed down on the {5-Hearts} turn with a check, after which Bratanov put Boatman all-in with a bet of 150,000. Boatman quickly folded and was left with nine big blinds, while Bratanov, who also started the hand short, got a much-needed double-up.

An orbit later Boatman got his stack in preflop the same blind-versus-blind situation.

Ross Boatman: {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Stefan Bratanov: {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Bratanov hit a pair on the {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board and Boarman's king-high spelled the end of his tournament.

Julian Bartholmes popped into the press area to relay the story of his bustout.

He open raised to 35,000 and was called by Bjorn Gravlien in the big blind. The flop came {q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Gravlien checked and Bartholmes bet 35,000, which Gravlien called.

"Well, fuck it," said Bartholmes, "if you've got the queens then you're good." He called and flipped {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Gravlien showed {6-}{6-}.

The river though, came {6-} to give Gravlien the set and Bartholmes was eliminated from the tournament.
