Level 25 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ciaran Cooney
Ciaran Cooney

Ryan McNulty raised from early position and Ciaran Cooney went all in from late position. McNulty called and players flipped their cards for what would be a classic poker race. Cooney was the player at risk.

Ciaran Cooney: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Ryan McNulty: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}. McNulty's pocket tens held up and Cooney was eliminated in 52nd place for €6,000.

Rankin Heroes Heldens

Level 25 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The action folded around to Sjors Heldens on the button, who limped in for the minimum 30,000. Small blind Rory Curtis folded before Daniel Rankin chose to see a free flop in the big blind.

The Broadway board of {10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} was dealt and Rankin checked to Heldens. Heldens bet 75,000 into the pot and Rankin called.

The turn {k-Diamonds} was checked around before the action got back to Helden on the {4-Diamonds} river. He decided to bet 200,000 on the board with four diamonds. Rankin thought for a while and eventually put in a single chip to signify a call.

Neither player had diamonds as Heldens showed {10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a pair of tens. Upon seeing Heldens' hand, Rankin turned his holding over in an elated manner, showing the hero call with a pair of queens: {q-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Rankin chipped up to over one million, while Heldens was left with less than 20 big blinds.

Maguire Says His Goodbyes

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Rui Da Costa Dias had opened from the cutoff to 60,000 and button Cole Maguire went all-in for his last ten big blinds or so. Rory Curtis was in the big blind and followed suit by jamming his own stack in the middle, worth 635,000.

Dias asked for a count, mulled it over for a while, and eventually folded. The other two players were now at the mercy of the deck.

Cole Maguire: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Rory Curtis: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Maguire had three clean outs to hit if he wanted to stay alive in the Main Event, but no kings were found on the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{a-Diamonds} board. Maguire collected his payout and Curtis increased his stack to over one million.

Sanchez Makes Straight and Gets Paid

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Vincent Sanchez raised to 80,000 from late position and got called by Michel Molenaar.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Sanchez led out for 200,000, which Molenaar called.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Sanchez led again for 300,000. Molenaar thought for a while before making the call. Sanchez showed {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for the rivered straight. Molenaar mucked his hand in frustration.

Tansey Hits Set to Stay Alive

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Liam Tansey
Liam Tansey

Gary Thompson raised to the minimum amount of 80,000 from the hijack and Thomas Kitt called in the cutoff. Liam Tansey was in the small blind and only played six big blinds in the form of 265,000 chips. He promptly shoved them in the middle hoping to multiply them. Thompson then went all-in as well for about the same amount as Kitt's stack.

Kitt quickly got out of the way, leading to a showdown between the other two.

Liam Tansey: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Gary Thompson: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Tansey was looking for a five and it miraculously arrived on the turn on the {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board. The river remained clean of eights with the {q-Clubs} and Tansey more than doubled to a more manageable stack.

Harbinson Gets Back From Behind to Double

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Daniel Rankin raised to 80,000 and Darren Harbinson moved all in for 770,000. Rui Da Costa Dias also moved all in and Rankin folded. Two players flipped their cards and Harbison was the player at risk of elimination.

Darren Harbinson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Rui Da Costa Dias: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Dias had Harbinson dominated and he held up until the river, when Harbinson paired up his queens to win the pot and double up.

"Oh my God," exclaimed Benny Glaser as the queen fell.

Button Confusion Leads to Glaser's Seven-Deuce Victory

Level 26 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

There was a lot of commotion over at Benny Glaser's table. Two floormen were discussing with the players and the dealer how to handle the situation that just occurred.

Allegedly, Glaser had put in a big blind and ante, thinking that he was in the appropriate position. However, the button was actually three seats prior, leading to two people putting in a small blind before Glaser's big blind. No one at the table realized this before significant action had taken place, in the form of an 80,000 raise from Darren Harbinson and a fold.

The floor ruled that Glaser would get his 40,000 ante back and his big blind would count as an under the gun call. Meanwhile, the second small blind Daniel Rankin had to put in the additional 60,000 chips to cover the big blind and ante.

With the ruling set in stone, the hand continued as normally as it could. The action folded around to Rankin, who called, as did Glaser.

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and both ''big blinds'' checked to Harbinson, who fired a continuation-bet of 110,000. Rankin abandoned this ludicrous situation, but Glaser stuck around with a call. The turn fell the {9-Spades} and Glaser check-called another bet from Harbinson, this time for 190,000.

The river {2-Hearts} saw Harbinson complete the triple barrel, firing for 255,000 after another check from Glaser. Glaser remarked ''This pot is f-ing crazy, I call''. Harbinson replied by saying ''You're good, I missed my flush draw'', after which Glaser tabled a very surprising {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a rivered two pair.

The showdown got some laughter from the crowd that had gathered around the table, but Glaser was the one who had the last laugh as he raked in a big pot that should not have ever happened in the first place.
