Birg Finds Nice Late-Night Double-Up
Level 15
: Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
In a pot of 140,000, Yan Birg got his remaining 97,000 chips in from the big blind on the 9♥6♠J♦5♠ turn, and was at risk against Thomas Brady in middle position.
Yan Birg: 9♠6♦
Thomas Brady: J♠10♠
Brady had a flush draw, as well as outs for trips and higher two pairs. The 2♦ river bricked off, however, securing the pot in Birg's favor as he doubled during the final hands of Day 1c.
