Gayko and Nedelcu Battle in Back-to-Back Hands

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Oliver Gayko
Oliver Gayko

Narcis Nedelcu saw A6 under the gun and raised to 1,600,000. It folded to Oliver Gayko, who defended his big blind with A7. Nedelcu tossed in 2,200,000 on the KJ8 flop, enough to take the pot as Gayko quickly folded.

On the next deal, Gayko raised to 1,800,000 in the small blind. Nedelcu was in the big blind and three-bet to 6,000,000. Gayko called, and the 7108 was spread.

Both players tapped the table for a check, and did so too when the 9 arrived on the turn. Gayko then barreled 5,000,000 chips on the 7 river, sending Nedelcu in the tank.

The Romanian regular spent two time banks before he called, but his 95 was no match for the 66 of Gayko, who chipped up with his turned straight.
