David Lappin has officially joined the ranks of PokerStars as its newest ambassador, securing the coveted Red Spade after a successful audition through the PokerStars Live League.
“I’ve always believed ambassadors should represent the players, not just a brand,” said Lappin in a statement. “I’m incredibly grateful to the Live League and the pathway it has given to become a PokerStars Ambassador.”
Lappin is set to become an "engaging and accessible voice" for the poker community, representing the brand at flagship events like the European Poker Tour and PokerStars Open stops throughout 2026.

Nikolaos Mastrantonas in early position and Vetle Holum in the hijack had amassed a pot of 35,000 when they arrived on the 8♣A♠Q♥A♣ turn. Mastrantonas checked to Holum before calling the latter's bet of 25,000.
The Q♠ river was quickly checked to showdown, with Holum tabling A♥8♥ for aces full of queens. Mastrantonas got away cheaply as he showed 8♠8♦ for a lesser full house, and the pot was consequently shipped to Holum.

Ben Dixon made it 2,100 to go in middle position and called when Danilo Donnini three-bet to 6,500 from the small blind. Donnini continued for 5,200 on the 5♥A♠2♦ flop, seeing his opponent call.
The 4♥ turn slowed Donnini down as he checked before calling Dixon's bet of 8,500. Donninni checked again on the Q♠ river, but this time he quickly folded when Dixon fired a bet of 16,500.

Tjenno Eskes had raised under the gun when Cenk Nigbolu three-bet to 7,500 in the next seat over. Leo Worthington-Leese called in the cutoff, prompting Eskes to move all in for 37,500.
Nigbolu let go of his cards after some deliberation, after which Worthington-Leese quickly called to put Eskes at risk.
Tjenno Eskes: A♥Q♣
Leo Worthington-Leese: A♣K♦
Eskes need running outs after the K♠9♣9♦ flop, and he said his goodbyes as the 5♦ turn left him drawing dead. The irrelevant 7♦ river completed the pot as Worthington-Leese added some more chips to his already massive stack.

George Devlin was in the big blind and bet 23,000 into a pot of 45,000 on the 2♥5♥3♦7♥ flop. His opponent was Pierre Basely, who called in middle position.
Basely made another quick call when Devlin sized down to 21,200 on the 2♣ river, seeing his opponent table 8♥4♥ for a flush.
Basely slammed his 9♦9♣ on the table in frustration and muttered some French to himself as he saw the pot being dragged across the table.
