Bellamy Gets Huge Double With Flopped Flush

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Fraser Bellamy
Fraser Bellamy

Catching the action on a 6453 turn, there were already around 110,000 chips in the pot when Henrik Hoerwing checked from the big blind to Fraser Bellamy in the cutoff.

Bellamy fired a bet of 75,000, which Hoerwing quickly called. The K river then completed the board. Hoerwing checked again, seeing his opponent enter the tank before moving all in for 141,000.

"I flopped the nut straight and have a club," Hoerwing claimed as he thought things through. "If you have a flush, I'm happy for you. I'm not folding."

He stuck in calling chips and tabled 87 for a straight. Bellamy did have a flush with his Q3, however, and he was shipped the massive pot to be among th eleaders of Day 1b.

James O'Connor: AA All in

Penfold flopped a set on 92Q to take a big lead, and he locked up the pot when the Q turn provided him with quads.

O'Connor said his goodbyes as the meaningless 5 river rolled off, and Penfold added some more chips to his impressive stack.

Dixon Downs Lyons During Final Few Hands

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A completed board of 8AA5J was already dealt when Juan Lyons slid a bet of 129,000 into a big pot of 225,000 from under the gun, leaving only 5,000 behind.

His opponent was Ben Dixon in the hijack, who snap-called and tabled AJ for a full house. Lyons shook his head and sighed as he returned his cards face down to forfeit the pot.

Lyons became one of the final eliminations of Day 1b as he lost his final chip not much later.
