Tobias Peters Hunting More King's Success on Final Day of King's Million EPC Masters

Tobias Peters
Tobias Peters

King's Resort in Rozvadov has been kind to longtime Dutch grinder Tobias Peters in the past. He captured both his bracelets at the European poker capital, one in 2023 and one in 2025, along with another trophy he won in a High Roller in 2016. However, at the 2026 King's Million European Poker Championship, big success has eluded him so far, with a 16th-place finish in the PLO Championship being his best performance. Today, that can all change, as Peters is one of 69 returning hopefuls vying for the top prize of €131,600 on Day 2 of the €2,000 EPC Masters.

Peters will bring an above-average 555,000 chips into Day 2, worth 37 big blinds. With 52 spots paid, 17 more players need to depart before the €602,040 can start getting divided, which means chipleaders Sebastian Kotowicz and Elia Salerno can start applying some bubble pressure already.

Kotowicz has a massive 1,825,000 to start the day, while Salerno is only one chip behind with 1,820,000. German player Frechdachs follows at quite a distance, having 1,035,000 at his disposal, while Alexandru Tarcau is the last player with a seven-figure stack, sitting down with 1,025,000 when play resumes today at 3 p.m. local time.

The top three finishers in the €3k High Roller earlier this week, Mystery Kid (585,000), Mihai Tabac (525,000), and MajikMike (190,000), are all still in the EPC Masters, looking to add to their already successful week. Other notable players eyeing the Royal Scepter trophy include Czech poker star Patrik Jaros (700,000), Peters' fellow Dutchman Pascal Vos (595,000), Austrian poker legend Harry Casagrande (210,000), and the short-stacked Florian Duta (190,000) and Ivan Banic (145,000).

The tournament will restart with blinds of 10,000/15,000 and a 15,000 big blind ante. All levels will remain 40 minutes long throughout the day, with a break planned after every three levels. A long day is ahead for those who run deep, as Day 2 will conclude only when a winner has been crowned.

Meanwhile, the minimum cash for the top 52 finishers is €4,230. Five-figure payouts await the top eight at the final table, while only the champion will be awarded a six-figure sum for their victory.
