Catalin Moraru Eliminated in 7th Place (€15,100)

Catalin Moraru made it 400,000 in middle position, and Marco Giordano fancied a flop on the button and called. Moraru continued for 400,000 on the 5♠8♦2♥ flop, which Giordano raised to 1,000,000.

Moraru then moved all in, and Giordano called off his stack of 3,575,000.

Marco Giordano: K♠8♠ All in
Catalin Moraru: 9♠9♣

Moraru had correctly assessed his nines were in the lead, but Giordano leapfrogged him on the K♣ turn. The J♣ river did not improve Moraru, sending the monstrous pot Giordano's way.

Moraru was left with just 700,000, which he committed from the big blind against Pasquale Casella in the cutoff.

Catalin Moraru: A♥6♦ All in
Pasquale Casella: A♣K♦

Moraru's cards were no match for Casella's big slick, as the A♦9♦10♦7♣4♥ runout would be the last he saw in the tournament.
