Sterba Keeps Chipping Up
Level 21
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Mihai Tabac opened to 200,000 under the gun, and Jakub Sterba flat-called in the small blind. Both players checked the 2♥Q♠8♠ flop, and Sterba checked again on the 5♦ turn.
Tabac fired a bet of 200,000 in response. Sterba called to the 2♣ river, where he led out for 300,000. Tabac neared the end of his shot clock before he tossed in calling chips.
Sterba tabled 10♣8♣, and it was good enough to take the pot as Tabac mucked.
