Sfarlea Claims the Chip Lead
Level 36
: Blinds 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante
Dan Sfarlea opened to 4,400,000 holding 6♠6♣ in the cutoff, and Kyriakos Kesidis defended his big blind with 8♦7♦ to see the K♠6♥9♣ flop. Kesidis checked to Sfarlea, who continued with a bet of 3,700,000 with his set of sixes.
The call was made, and Kesidis checked once more on the K♣ turn. Sfarlea bet 9,000,000 after improving to a full house, and Kesidis used a time bank card before raising to 22,000,000. Sfarlea committed one of his time cards before moving all in for 61,000,000 total.
Kesidis opted to let his hand go, and Sfarlea crossed the nine-figure chip mark for the first time.
