Levchenko Back From Dust

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 0 ante
Ivan Levchenko
Ivan Levchenko

Not long ago Ivan Levchenko was down to 8,000 and already out of the tournament area before he was informed he had chips left over. Fast forward he just doubled for 48,000 against Jakob Madsen when they got it in after a {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop.

Ivan Levchenko: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}
Jakob Madsen: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The {4-Clubs} turn and {3-Clubs} river were a formality to let Levchenko double.

Verkhoturov Cements Top Spot

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 0 ante
Sergei Verkhoturov
Sergei Verkhoturov

Robert Cowen opened to 7,000 and Ivan Levchenko called, as did Calogero Lupo in the cutoff. Sergei Verkhoturov three-bet the pot to 38,000 and Lupo was the only caller.

On a {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, Lupo check-called a bet worth 40,000 and quickly did so again for 55,000 on the {6-Spades} turn. The {10-Clubs} came on the river and Lupo checked once more. Verkhoturov bet 150,000 and Lupo called all in for fewer than that.

Verkhoturov turned over {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a full house and Lupo mucked {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Berente Doubles

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Mark Berente
Mark Berente

Juergen Pollack and Tomasz Kozub were eliminated right when the last level of the night kicked off and Mark Berente avoided the same fate after he doubled through Maksim Shuts.

Berente was all in after the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop with the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Shuts looked him up with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. The {10-Spades} turn and {q-Clubs} river run out gave Berente a full house and he doubled.

Back to the Drawing Board for Donev

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Kyrylo Shkrob
Kyrylo Shkrob

Having defended his big blind against the button raise of Kyrylo Shkrob, Ivo Donev check-raised the pot on the {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop and bet 100,000 on the {a-Spades} turn with fewer than that behind. Shkrob moved all in and Donev mucked {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} face up after just a few seconds.

Shkrob verified with the dealer that it was indeed a fold and flashed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} before raking in the pot.

Late Surge by Urumovic

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Goran Urumovic
Goran Urumovic

Goran Urumovic doubled with a straight flush against the turned nut full house by Salavat Shafigullin and soon after also scored a pot against Yusuf Kurt. The completed board showed {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Kurt bet 37,000, which Urumovic called after some consideration.

Urumovic admitted he had a good hand with {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a flush and apologized for a possible slowroll. "It was a bluff catcher, still," he said while Kurt mucked his cards.

Late Exit for Nowak

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Matthew Beck
Matthew Beck

Matthew Beck clashed with Renato Nowak and got his stack of 129,000 in after a {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, holding the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for top two pair and a flush draw. Nowak was trailing with the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the {6-Spades} turn and {a-Clubs} river let Beck double.

Nowak wanted to go all in blind the next hand, which did not happen. However, he ended up losing the remainder of his short stack against Tim Hoffmann and departed just shy of bagging and tagging.
