Aasmaa Hits the Rail

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Raigo Aasmaa
Raigo Aasmaa

Like Carmen-Elina Vist, OlyBet Team Pro Raigo Aasmaa also had a short day. He three-bet jammed about 12 big blinds from the small blind and got called by the opening raiser Peter Jaksland.

Aasmaa turned over {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} and it was off to the races after Jaksland turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

The {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board ran all blanks for Aasmaa and he was eliminated short of the money.

Eliminations are taking place at a fast and furious pace. Also out of the tournament are Jari Mikka Mähönen, Vasilijus Piskunovas, Mike Hansen, and Toomas Polli.

Vist Eliminated

Carmen-Elina Vist
Carmen-Elina Vist

At the very same time of Simulask's double-up, OlyBet Team Pro Carmen-Elina Vist was eliminated from another table. We later found out that she jammed her short stack with {9-}{9-} only to run into an opponent's {10-}{10-}.

This leaves Malta's Jacqueline "Poker Mama" Cachia as the last remaining woman in the field.

Simulask Doubles Off Peretz

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Silver Simulask doubled up in a blind over blind situation. He jammed for about 100,000 with {a-Clubs}{6-Spades} from the small blind and was called by Yaniv Peretz in the big blind with {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

Simulask won the coin flip after he nailed two pair on the {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board to give him a good early start to the day.
