Set Flushed Down the Drain for Siljander

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There were five players who witnessed the {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Spades} come on the flop with about 12,000 in the pot when Kristjan Sotnik led out for 4,000.

Mathias Siljander called before Antti Suominen jammed for 25,800. It folded back around to Siljander, who made the call.

Mathias Siljander: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Antti Suominen: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

Siljander was ahead with a set and needed to fade a spade or runners for his opponent to hit a full house.

The tables turned quickly after the {j-Spades} came on the turn to complete Suominen's flush. Siljander didn't improve to a full house after the {6-Diamonds} came on the river and he doubled his opponent.

Martin Eliminates Bohdanov

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A player opened for 2,100 from early position before Renat Bohdanov jammed for around 4,500.

Inigo Martin four-bet jammed from the big blind for about 40,000 and the early position opener folded.

Renat Bohdanov: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Inigo Martin: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Both players had a full house after the [ad3d38d3s] ran out on the board. However, Martin's full house was stronger and Bohdanov was felted.

Antti Suominen opened from early position to 2,200 before Christel Haller three-bet jammed from one seat over for around 7,000.

Erik Lovgren four-bet jammed for around 45,000 and Suominen snap-folded.

Christel Haller: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Antti Suominen: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Haller more than doubled up after her aces held with the {2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} running out on the board.

Sixes No Good for Abid

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Alari Kunnapuu opened from under the gun to 2,100. Feras Abid jammed from the button for about 10,000 and Kunnapuu snap-called.

Alari Kunnapuu: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Feras Abid: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

The flip was on but the odds heavily shifted against Abid surviving after his opponent paired the {5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop. Neither the {j-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {5-Diamonds} on the river was able to save Abid and he was felted at least for now with late registration still open until the end of the blind level.

Shaw Takes Out Two

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

We got to the table when three players were all-in with Carl Shaw having both Ivan Vasilev and Toomas Polli covered with about 170,000 in the pot.

Carl Shaw: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Toomas Polli: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Ivan Vasilev: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Shaw had the least equity in the hand but that all changed after he hit a set on the {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop. Shaw took out both of his opponents as his set held strong with the {5-Spades} coming on the turn followed by the {2-Clubs} on the river.

'It's a Premium' for Da Silva

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The big blind didn't make it to their seat yet when Chris Da Silva jammed for 16,100 from the button. Kasper Mellanen called from the small blind and players turned over their cards.

Chris Da Silva: {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Kasper Mallanen: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Da Silva was behind but won the hand anyway with a straight as the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} ran out on the board.

"It's a good start," said Da Silva.

"It was a premium," Da Silva said to the table and Mellanen got a good laugh as the dealer began to shuffle for the next hand.
