Huge hand

Jose Barbero started the action with a raise to 120,000 from the button and Erick Cabrera three-bet from the small blind to 300,000. Ismael Cadiz, down to 560,000, then moved all-in from the big blind. Barbero duly moved in behind him and Cabrera tank folded {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} face-up. Huge fold four-handed.

Cadiz: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Barbero: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Cadiz instantly hit a set with {2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and the room erupted. The {3-Clubs} gave Barbero 15 outs for the outright win or a chop but Cadiz faded them all with {7-Diamonds}. Barbero looked rattled but will no doubt get his composure back. The Team PokerStars Pro is still in the hunt for back-to-back LAPT titles.

Filling the Barrow

Ben Barrows has just taken down a nice sized pot without showdown. He raised from the button to face a three-bet to 380,000 from Erick Cabrera in the BB. Barrow wasn't having any of it though and moved all-in for 1.825 million. Cabrera tanked (he likes a tank)and then folded.

Tigger and Pooh Bear turn up

And Mickey Mouse is on the way. Tigger (Chris Conrad) and Pooh Bear (Marty Mathis) have turned up to support fellow American Ben Barrows at the final table. The fancy dress costumes appear to have given them media access rights and they've snuck right in next to the final table mainly, I think, because the security guard is utterly confused as to what he's meant to do.

Who shows?

In a rare occurrence three payers made it to a flop. Jose Barbero opened from UTG to 130,00 and was called by Erick Cabrera on the button and Ben Barrows in the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs} and the action checked to Cabrera who bet 250,000. Only Barbero called to see the {k-Clubs} turn where both checked. Both checked the {9-Diamonds} river too.

Neither player wanted to show their hand but Cabrera was forced to as the last aggressor. He tabled pocket sixes but lost out to Barbero's {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. The top three stacks are really evening out right now.

I want to be a Nacho man

Jose 'Nacho' Barbero's comeback is gathering pace while Erick Cabrera's huge stack is dwindling. Nacho raised from the small blind and was called by Cabrera in the big. They checked through to the {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts} turn where Nacho led for 120,000 and was called by Cabrera. Nacho bet another 240,000 on the {6-Spades} river and was called by Cabrera. Nacho showed {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Cabrera {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Barbero has taken some large chunks out of Cabrera.

The most mental chop you'll ever see

This is like a World Cup match at the moment. My ears are actually ringing from the cheering and shouting. Jose Barbero raised to 120,000 from the button and was shoved on for 740,000 by Cabrera. Barbero called.

Barbero: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Cabrera: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

There are at least fifty Peruvians chanting and they're making a lot of noise. PERU! PERU! PERU! PERU!

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Spades} and the crowd were chanting for a blank but their will alone wasn't enough. A {7-Hearts} binked on the river to split the pot.
