Welcome to PokerStars.net LAPT Lima Final Table

That's right folks. After three days of fun filled Latino poker action we're in the final stretch. The final eight players will return today all with the aim of being the inaugural LAPT Lima Champion. There's also the small matter of a $250,000 that comes with it. Play is due to start at midday but we expect there to be the inevitable delays that come with a final table that's being filmed. We'll keep you posted on what's occurring.

TV time

TV has brought a lot to poker; international exposure, millions of players and the under-table cam. It has also brought really long pauses before the final table and that includes today. The table is still vacant. We will let you know as and when that changes.

Valerio Valera is in the house!

That's the arrival on the tournament floor of one of the eight finalists. At this rate we could be here a very long time. Ben Barrows has been late back from almost every single break so far so we're expecting him to be the last arrival.

We're off

Play has finally started. The players were introduced one-by-one and the last 30 minutes of level 24 will play out.

We have the same problems accessing the TV table as we did yesterday but we'll do our very best to bring you the action as it happens.

Barbero comes out firing

Jose 'Nacho' Barbero has won a couple of pot with simple preflop raises so far. Several of the players at the final table look like they're there to climb the cash ladder. Barbero and Ben Barrows particularly look like they're out for the win. Expect a big crunch up between these two before the day is out.

Castle Cadiz

Ismael Cadiz has built up a rock-like reputation and used right it could get him far at this final table. A small early position raise gets through and scoops the blinds.
