The final eight players will return today all with the aim of being the inaugural LAPT Lima Champion. There's also the small matter of a $250,000 that comes with it. TV has brought a lot to poker; international exposure, millions of players and the under-table cam. It has also brought really long pauses before the final table and that includes today. The table is still vacant. We will let you know as and when that changes.
That's the arrival on the tournament floor of one of the eight finalists. At this rate we could be here a very long time. Ben Barrows has been late back from almost every single break so far so we're expecting him to be the last arrival.
Jose 'Nacho' Barbero has won a couple of pot with simple preflop raises so far. Several of the players at the final table look like they're there to climb the cash ladder. Barbero and Ben Barrows particularly look like they're out for the win. Expect a big crunch up between these two before the day is out.
Jose 'Nacho' Barbero has taken another small pot. He raised to 80,000 from MP and was called by Silvio Martins in the BB. The flop came and Barbero's c-bet took the pot down.
Ismael Cadiz has built up a rock-like reputation and used right it could get him far at this final table. A small early position raise gets through and scoops the blinds.
