No Dinner Break Today

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

There will be two breaks today, both 15 minutes long. After level 3 and after level 7, the players will have time to get some sun outside and have a drink. There will be no dinner break today, so play should be finished around 8:45 tonight, according to tournament director Thomas Kremser.

112 Entries So Far

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

The day is still young, and the expectation is that a lot more players will enter at some point today.

The clock displays an impressive 112 entries so far today, with 108 players left in the field. If those players busted, or re-entered is unknown at this point, but the impressive tournament room is already buzzing with excitement.

If You Bust Today...

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

If you unfortunately bust out today, you're still able to play tomorrow as well. So even if all things go terribly wrong for you today, you can still try your luck tomorrow on Day 1b. And even if that doesn't work out for you the way it was supposed to, entering on Day 2 is a possibility as well for the first three levels.

You van only re-enter if you have busted out, so playing Day 1b isn't possible when you survived Day 1a. We imagine some players playing everything or nothing at the end of the day today, not wanting to return with just a few chips and rather gamble to run it up, or bust and try again on Day 1b.

Small Loss, Big Win for Mikhails Morozov

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Mikhail Morozov
Mikhail Morozov

Mikhails Morozov opened from early position for 350, and received two callers. The hijack came along, and so did the big blind.

The big blind checked to the leader of Latvia's all time money list, and Morozov made a 525 continuation bet. Just the hijack made the call, the big blind folded his hand.

The {6-Spades} fell on the turn and Morozov gently tapped the table. His neighbor did exactly the same, and the two of 'em were of to see a river. The {3-Diamonds} made both players check again and it was time to open the cards.

Morozov showed his {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} with some hope of taking it down. That hope quickly vanished as his opponent tabled {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for second pair.

Morozov lost that small pot, but he's still up heaps for the day. If we counted correctly, and we're pretty sure we did, Mikhails Morozov is playing around 47,000 at the moment.

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Rodin Grigorii might not persé ring a bell for you, but he's some what of a local celebrity in the poker room here. He won two events, and placed fourth in a third event here this week.

Troyanovskiy Is Here!

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy, maybe best known for finishing runner up to Vanessa Selbst in the 2013 PCA $25,000 High Roller event ($792,180) has entered the tournament room. He hasn't taken his seat yet, he's cheerfully making small talk to the tournament organization. He'll probably take his seat in a bit, and we'll keep our eyes on his every move.
