Sergey Rybachenko bet out 2,800 on a flop from the hijack position. His beighbor, Pavel Logozinskii on the button, made the call.
Both players checked the on the turn, and the completed the board. Rybachenko bet out 7,600 and Logozinskii instantly called.
Rybachenko rolled over for trips, Logozinskii mucked. Logozinskii is still up heaps for the day though, he plays a stack of around 180,000. Rybachenko, who started out with a fresh 30,000 stack, has more than doubled that in the first two levels so far.
Jorn Walthaus was seen leaving the tournament room, but told us the details of his exit not much later.
He defended his big blind with and flopped middle pair on . Walthaus, who started the hand with about 15 big blinds, check raised all in. His opponent had pocket jacks and wasn't willing to lay that big hand down.
Blanks on turn and river resulted in an early departure for Walthaus. He still has the option to re enter, but isn't sure he wants to.
Play has been fast today, super fast. Hardly ever we see players really tank, most moves are made instantly. Some hands, even three and four bet pots, take just seconds instead of the usual minutes.
Just now was another example. Oleksandr Gnatenko opened for 2,100 from the button, and Abou Elias Salih instantly moved all in from the small blind for 27,800. Idris Sahin had both players covered and moved all in just as easily. Gnatenko instantaneously folded, and a showdown was at hand.
Abou Elias Salih:
Idris Sahin:
The flop was of no harm for Elias Salih, and he was guaranteed a double up after the hit the turn. The on the river was there just to make things official, and
Sergey Bagirov opened under the gun plus one to 2,300 and Dmitry Chernikov in the cutoff made the call. Pavel Logozinskii, the big stack on the table, made the call from the big blind.
and Logozinskii checked to Bagirov. Bagirov, who won one of the events here this week, and finished 6th in another, continuation bet for the amount of 2,500. Chernikov made a min raise to 5,000 and Logozinskii folded after some heavy thinking. Bagirov made the call.
Bagirov check called another 5,500 after the hit the turn. He had counted out how much he had left behind at that point, just under 20,000, and checked again on the river. Chernikov thought about it for some time, and then pushed all in, effectively setting Bagirov allin.
Bagirov thought about it for some two minutes, before eventually sliding his cards over the line.
On a we saw Atanas Gueorguiev check to Aleksandr Nemtcov in seat one. Nemtcov bet out 5,000, and Gueorguiev answered with a push all in for 22,700. Nemtcov thought about it for some time, but eventually folded.
Charalami Charalambos and Roman Afanasenka got their chips in the middle on . Charalami had 21,100, Afanasenka had him just covered with 21,700.
Afanasenka:
Charalami:
The spades wouldn't come out, but the on the turn hurt just as much. The on the river wasn't the one card Afanasenka was looking for, and he had to continue his tournament with just 600 in chips.
Grigorii Rodin has just been eliminated from the tournament. He pushed all in fro his remaining 11,000, and was met by a push from Sergey Frolov for just a little more. Andrey Golubev made the call to put both players at risk.
Sergey Frolov
Grigorii Rodin
Andrey Golubev
The board didn't improve anyone, and Frolov neirly tripled up. Golubev lost a little bit, and Rodin made his exit.
Rodin, who won two events this festival, can still re enter to strife for his third win this week.
Toufic Saliba opened for 3,500 under the gun, and Nurlan Boobekov made the call from the cutoff. Mustafa Biz, one of the bigger stacks in the room, made it 13,500 and just Saliba called, Boobekov folded.
The action was rapid as most moves were instant. Both players checked the , and Saliba quickly bet 17,000 once the hit the turn. Biz made the call instantly.
The fell on the river and Saliba now bet a mere 7,000. Again Biz called instantlym but his proved no good. Saliba tabled and dragged in the chips.
