Day 1D of the Lone Star Texas State Main Event produced the biggest field yet, attracting a total of 472 entries and after 14 hours of play, including 45 minutes of bubble hand for hand play, 57 players were left standing with a bag and a guaranteed cash.

James Crowshaw was the player standing on top of the heap at the end of the day with a whopping 1,571,000 in chips, which was 400,000 clear of the next closest competitor and is the largest stack so far across all four starting flights. He gathered a ton of chips in the last few levels and started taking out other players with substantial stacks, absorbing them into his own.

The only other player to bag over the 1 million mark was Trace Henderson with 1,141,000.

William Deheart (794,000), Robert Wright (764,000) and Brett Murray (763,000) rounded out the top five chip counts.

Other notables to find a bag were; Michael Rossitto, who bagged a large stack with 727,000. Viet Vo with 651,000 and Ricardo Eyzaguirre with 511,000.

Matt Berkey was able to shake off a rough Day 1C and completed Day 1D with a healthy chip stack of 636,000 to take with him into Day 2.

The 57 survivors join the 86 from the previous flights to create 143 players into Day 2 so far (barring a couple of players who have bagged twice).

The final opening flight of the opening day will take place tomorrow at 11 a.m. for Day 1E, which is expected to be one of the largest days in Texas poker history as players from all over will descend on the Lone Star Poker Series felt where PokerNews will pick up the coverage.
