Doan Bags Big Chip Lead After Day 1E Hits $2 Million Prizepool

Day 1E was the largest day yet of the Texas State Main Event. 640 entries meant that the $1 million guarantee was completely blown away as the prizepool ended up being more than double totaling $2,090,700.

Leading the surviving 77 players at the end of the day was Christopher Doan who bagged the largest stack across all flights with a mind blowing 1,726,000. He was spotted in the middle park of the day, with a big stack already at that point and just continued to build as the night went on to end on top of the mountain.

Three other players bagged gargantuan stacks; Joon Park bagged 1,428,000, 2020 WSOP Domestic Main Event champion Joseph Hebert ended the day with 1,339,000 and Josh Burkhalter bagged 1,305,000, all of which be taking well over 100 big blinds into Day 2.

Some more players to bag for Day 2 included: Shawn Rice with 423,000, Christopher Moon with 330,000 and $150K GTD Spring Series Kick Off champion Gerald Stogner who bagged 263,000.

The 77 survivors will join the 141 from previous flights to create a Day 2 with 218 players still alive with the dream of winning the grand prize of $355,420.
