Malta Poker Festival Top Prize

Welcome to the third and final day of 2022 Malta Poker Festival Spring €550 Grand Event which kicks off at 2 p.m. CEST at the glorious Portomaso Casino, Malta.

It has been a wonderful week of poker at the MPF and it has cemented itself as one of the premier poker series on the island.

The action from the Grand Event hasn't disappointed either, there have been a series of brilliant suck outs, coolers and even a Royal Flush, which you can all look back on in the PokerNews highlights section.

Overall, there have been a 1,019 entries and that has generated a guarantee obliteration €486

Day 3 sees the final 18 players returning for a final time and Poland's Pawel Zawadowicz is the player in pole position to capture the €71,000 up top, MPF Grand Event title as well as the Unibet Deepstack Open Championship Belt.

Hot on his heels however are British grinders Stephen Kane and PokerStars Hippodrome Pro Chris Da Silva, who round out the top three chip stacks.

Nicolay Langfeldt and Mario Musacchia begin the day in the danger zone, but in what has been a trend in this event is that you should not write-off the short stacks.

Today's play sees the blind levels increase to 60-minutes and there will be a new seat draw when the players return to the tournament room. PokerNews will bring that to you when the information is relayed. Play begins at Level 25 with the blinds at 50,000/100,000/100,000a.

For those who need a series saver, the MPF Last Chance event gets underway at 5 p.m. CEST and comes with a buy-in of €120.
