Mawick Finds Big River Call
Level 7
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Around 32,000 was in the middle on a flop of K♥10♥7♥, in a three-bet pot between Carsten Mawick in early position, and Fabian Wolf in the big blind.
Both players checked to see the Q♣ turn, where Wolf fired out a bet of 16,500, which failed to dispose of his opponent.
The 4♣ river completed the board, and Wolf put out a bet of 92,000, covering Mawick's remaining 57,000 behind.
Mawick asked the dealer when late registration closed, and on being informed it was still some way off, Mawick called.
"It's yours", sighed Wolf, as he tabled A♦8♦ for air, while Mawick had found a good call with A♠Q♠ for second pair queens.
