Assennato Annihilates Aces to Triple
Vincenzo Cinelli opened to 16,000, and was met with a three-bet jam from Fabio Assennato from the small blind for 41,000.
Robert McAdam was in the big blind, and he cold-called. Cinelli took quite a bit of time to think before jamming for 82,000, and McAdam snapped with the covering stack.
"Aces?" said Cinelli, and when McAdam nodded, Cinelli commented "I knew it when you just called."
Fabio Assennato: K♥Q♦
Vincenzo Cinelli: 9♥9♠
Robert McAdam: A♦A♥
McAdam looked set for a huge pot, but the K♠K♣Q♣ flop sent Assennato into dreamland, causing gasps from the table, and there was no escape for either of his opponents on the 5♠ turn and 5♣ river.
Assennato got out his phone and said "I need a picture of this for my son", as he raked in his new found wealth.
