Masbah Ben Baba Eliminated in 21st Place (23,000 Dirhams)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Masbah Ben Baba
Masbah Ben Baba

Shortly after returning from dinner, Masbah Ben Baba shoved for 10 big blinds from the button and Henrique Oliveira de Sousa Pinho reshoved from one seat over to put the Moroccan at risk.

Ben Baba: {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Pinho: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The flop {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} improved Ben Baba, but the {7-Clubs} turn saw Pinho with a set. Any club would still avoid the elimination, yet it was the {2-Hearts} river that sent Ben Baba out in 21st place.

Tondeur Takes It

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Roger Tondeur opened to 25,000 and Abdenbi Abida called from the button to see a heads-up flop of {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Tondeur continued for 30,000 and was called before checking the {10-Diamonds} turn. Abida now fired a bet worth 65,000 and was snap-called before the {3-Diamonds} river saw Tondeur immediately bet 80,000.

Abida didn't give it much time before sending his cards into the muck.

Pieyre Maggi Eliminated in 22nd Place (20,000 Dirhams)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Pieyre Maggi
Pieyre Maggi

Andre Miquel Ramalho Fonseca opened the action with a raise to 17,000 and Pieyre Maggi shoved from two seats over for around 13 big blinds. The young Belgian had jammed three times prior without getting called, but this time the move didn't get through without resistance.

Maggi: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Fonseca: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

It was all over after the {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} turn and the blank {6-Clubs} river a mere formality. Maggi headed to the rail in 22nd place and also receives 20,000 Dirhams.

Cocozza Can Ninja Too

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Anas Tadini has been making a "ninja sound" from claiming pots from time to time, always causing plenty of smiles and laughter at the tables. Saverio Cocozza just did so as well and the rail could barely hold themselves together.

It was a limped pot with Cocozza on the button Philippe Ktorza in the small blind and Tadini in the big blind. On the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades} flop all three checked. On the {Q-Spades} turn, Tadini motioned what appeared to be a check and then told the dealer she should wait and carefully deal the river card. It was the {6-Diamonds} and Tadini led for 20,000.

"Seven high wins," he joked. Cocozza eventually called and Ktorza folded. Tadini indeed flashed {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Cocozza won the pot with {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} ... before doing Tadini's ninja sound. This would be really good for TV.

One hand later, Abdenbi Abida raised to 17,000 and Ktorza jammed the button for 159,000 to claim the pot without showdown.

Limp Festival Goes to Terzian

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Philippe Ktorza limped in from under the gun, as did Anas Tadini, Dominique Terzian and the two players in the blinds. On the {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop, the action was checked to Terzian and his bet for half the pot enforced folds all around. Ktorza mucked the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, Tadini the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Terzian said in table chat he had a king.

The Fireworks Continue

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Ekrem Sanioglu got his stack of 128,000 all in from under the gun and henrique Oliveira de Sousa Pinho looked him up with the {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}, putting his opponent on tilt from the previous showdown. Sanioglu had however hit the board way better with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and the {5-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river blanked.

It took just a few minutes to see [Removed:215] and Mathieu Biague go at it over on table 37 as well. Groppi had raised and was called before a continuation bet on the {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop saw Biague call, too. On the {J-Hearts} turn, Groppi check-raised from 50,000 to 100,000 with a stack of as much behind and Biague shoved.

Groppi snap-called with the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a set while Biague could not win the hand anymore, holding {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. The {8-Clubs} river was a formality and the chips were swapped.

A Couple of Double Ups

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Alexandre Viard put table neighbor Roger Tondeur at risk for 70,000 with JhJc] versus {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Tondeur doubled up with a full house.

Then, Mathieu Biague raised from middle position and Ekrem Sanioglu in the small blind as well as Pieyre Maggi in the big blind called. On the {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Sanioglu led for 45,000 and just Biague called. The {7-Diamonds} turn saw Sanioglu check-raise all in and Biague, having bet 95,000, snap-called for his last 206,000.

Biague: {J-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Sanioglu: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The {Q-Hearts} river bricked and Sanioglu lost most of his stack, then shoved the next hand to claim the pot uncontested.

Viard got his chips back with some fees on top after three-bet shoving for 120,000 with the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Saverio Cocozza snap-called with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and the crowd and players on the table went wild. The board ran out {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Viard made a straight to double.
