Jerome Sgorrano moved all in from under the gun for his remaining 295,000. It folded to Paul Guichard on the button who enquired as to Sgorrano's stack before calling. The remaining players folded. Sgorrano was at risk and he showed {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} while Guichard held {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. The board ran out {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Guichard was left with 55,000.

That 55,000 went in the very next hand when it folded to Guichard on the button. Phu Truong called in the small blind and the cards were turned over.

Guichard: {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Truong: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Guichard was all in and dominated for the second hand in a row, and there was no help for him as the board ran out {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades} eliminating the Frenchman in 6th place.

Said El Yousfi Gets Tricky

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Of all the players at this final table, the player making the most moves has to be Said El Yousfi. A number of times he has moved all in pre-flop, for stacks greater than or equal to 25 big blinds, forcing his opponents to muck.

In this hand the baord read {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Jerome Sgorrano checked to El Yousfi who bet 30,000. Sgorrano called and the river was the {j-Clubs}. Again Sgorrano checked and El Yousfi bet 150,000.

Sgorrano took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes before eventually folding. El Yousfi turned over {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and scooped the pot.

Said El Yousfi Doubles Through Jerome Sgorrano

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

After a brief lull in competition five-handed at this final table, Said El Yousfi and Jerome Sgorrano were all in pre-flop with El Yousfi holding {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and behind to Sgorrano's {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and El Yousfi casually moved the {6-Hearts} closer to the board, as if coaxing out a fourth heart. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Sgorrano banged the table in frustration as his opponent made a flush, which left him drawing dead as the river was the meaningless {10-}.

Fadhil Farag limped under the gun. It folded to Jerome Sgorrano in the small blind who moved all in for his remaining 150,000 chips. Said El Yousfi called in the big blind and Farag folded.

Sgoranno showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and El Yousfi meekly turned over {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The flop was {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn raised a few eyebrows, and the {10-Clubs} on the river caused Sgorrano to get to his feet and finish his drink swiftly and head straight to the payout desk.

No Deal Agreed Between Final Four

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

With the elimination of Jerome Sgorrano in fifth place, the attention turned towards a potential deal between the remaining four players. With the time here in Marrakech rapidly approaching 3 a.m. the idea was floated to chop the remaining 819,000 Dirham prizepool into four separate 180,000 Dirham chunks, with the remaining 99,000 Dirham being awarded to first prize.

All ways looking good, with Said El Yousfi confident enough to leave the discussions having said he was in favour for a cigarette. however after that negotiations broke down and the four resumed play with just over ten minutes left in Level 23.

With the board reading {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and 200,000 in the pot already, Said El Yousfi checked to his opponent [Removed:432] who bet 175,000. El Yousfi called.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and El Yousfi checked again and [Removed:433] bet 315,000. El Yousfi counted out his chips, asked for how much the bet was, rechecked his stack before asking again. Eventually he slid the chips forward saying a little "Good luck" almost to himself as he did so.

His opponent tapped the table with his knuckles, flinging {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} across the board. El Yousfi let out a shout of joy as he showed {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} to scoop the nearly 1.1 million chip pot.
