Nevanlinna Fights Back

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jussi Nevanlinna limped from under the gun, Hrazem Aanquich did so as well and Amir Mozaffarian limped too. Ruben Visser filled up from the small blind and Robbie Hendriks checked his option. The five-way flop of {3-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades} was checked through, Nevanlinna then bet 15,000 on the {J-Hearts} turn. Mozaffarian raised to 40,000 and only the Finn called.

Nevanlinna then checked the {K-Clubs} river and a rather frustrated Mozaffarian checked behind. The Finn showed {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of kings and that took down the pot.

The next hand, Ruben Visser raised from the button to 23,000 and Nevanlinna called out of the big blind. On the {A-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {5-Hearts} flop, the Finn check-called a bet of 26,000 and then bet 46,000 after the {7-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Visser raised to 118,000 and then snap-folded when Nevanlinna moved all in.

Nevanlinna Short

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

[Removed:17] limped in the cutoff and Ruben Visser limped behind him on the button, Robbie Hendriks folded in the small blind, Jussi Nevanlinna checked in the big blind.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and was checked to Yan who bet 17,000. Visser made the call and Nevanlinna also called to see the {K-Spades} on the turn. This time it was checked to Visser who bet 42,00, Nevanlinna made the call and Yan quickly folded.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and both players checked. Nevanlinna showed a missed {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Visser picked up the pot with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

Joining the action on the {7-Clubs} {J-Spades} {3-Hearts} {Q-Spades} turn, David Boyaciyan bet 48,000 and Ole Schemion called that bet before folding on the {Q-Diamonds} river when the 2011 MCOP champion bet 98,000.

Yan Folds to Shove by Chen

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

[Removed:17] raised to 23,000 from under the gun and called the three-bet of Andrew Chen to 50,000. On the {2-Spades} {J-Spades} {5-Diamonds} flop, Yan check-called a bet of 70,000 and the two then checked the {2-Clubs} on the turn. The {K-Spades} saw Yan check another time and Chen now put him all in. "MissOracle" folded and was quite glad that Chen got moved to the feature table the next hand.

Albert Hoekendijk
Albert Hoekendijk

Ole Schemion opened to 20,000 from under-the-gun, it was passed to Albert Hoekendikj in the big blind and he shoved all in for around 150,000 . Schemion quickly called.

Hoekendikj: {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Schemion: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board was {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Schemion's ace-high was still good. 14 players remain.

Two Quick Pots in a Row for Rutter

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

One of the shorter stacks Stuart Rutter has begun with renewed purpose. He three-bet Jussi Nevanlinna's 22,500 open to 52,000 picking up a pot. Then in the next hand Rutter opened under the gun and won the blinds and antes.

Wim Emo Eliminated in 16th Place (€12,981)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Wim Emo
Wim Emo

On the feature table, Wim Emo was all in for 97,000 in chips with {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} on a five-way flop of {A-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} and start-of-the-day chip leader Clyde Tjauw Foe looked him up with {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}.

It was not without sweat with the gutshot and flush draw for the short stack, but the [{8-Spades} turn and the {J-Hearts} river were two blanks to send Emo to the rail in 16th place for €€12,981.
