Carrel Busts Verhagen

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

According to our colleague, Johan Verhagen flopped a set of queens on a flop with two clubs. Verhagen raised Charlie Carrel's bet and the latter shoved all in with {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Verhagen called but was heading to the rail after a club hit the river.

Ole Schemion Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Former MCOP Main Event Champion and recent MCOP €25,000 Super High Roller winner Ole Schemion has been eliminated. A railbird came by and told us he had gotten it all in with {9-}{9-} against {5-}{5-}. A {5-} on the river spoiled the party for Schemion.

Wetemans Busts

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Seated in first position, Abdelhakim Zoufri opened for 7,500. A player in middle position called and, seated in the small blind, Jasper Wetemans squeezed to 28,000. Zoufri four-bet to 55,000 and the player in middle position folded. Wetemans shoved for 150,000 and Zoufri called.

Wetemans had {K-}{K-} but was up against {A-}{A-}. The board brought no king or any other sort of help and Wetemans hit the rail.

Schaap Doubles

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Ad Schaap was short for quite some time, and still is really, but he did double just now.

The player in seat one opened and Schaap pushed for his last 11 big blinds. His opponent called with {J-}{Q-} and Schaap doubled holding {K-}{Q-}.

67 Players Remain

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

With an average stack of almost 160,000 (53 big blinds), deep is still very deep. 53 players finish in the money, a min cash is worth €7,895.

A Six-Bet Pot

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Action folded around to Abdelhakim Zoufri in the small blind and he opened for 8,500. Rembert Net, seated in the big blind, three-bet to 26,000. Zoufri contemplated what to do for just a bit before he four-bet to 57,500.

That sure wasn't the end of it just yet as Net five-bet to 115,000, leaving himself 245,000 behind. Zoufri six-bet to 183,200 and Net folded just about right away.

Zoufri showed the {A-Hearts}, Net seemed unfazed.

Van Zadelhoff Eliminated

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Steven van Zadelhoff
Steven van Zadelhoff

With a stack of 13 big blinds in middle position, Steven van Zadelhoff opened for 6,600.

Jan Bendik called on the button and the flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Van Zadelhoff checked and Bendik moved in. Van Zadelhoff called.

Van Zadelhoff showed {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Bendik tabled {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. The {2-Hearts} on the turn left Van Zadelhoff drawing dead, the {5-Diamonds} on the river was of no importance.
