The Master Classics of Poker Main Event Starts at 2 P.M.

The Master Classics of Poker (MCOP) is one of the longest-running live poker tournament series held in Holland Casino Amsterdam. With two days already in the books, it´s time for the €4,300 Main Event of the 27th MCOP today at 2 p.m. local time.

Last year´s edition was won by none other than Claas Segebrecht. He took down the Main Event for no less than €235,087 after beating a field of 285 entrants. Previous winners of the Master Classics of Poker Main Event include Jussi Nevanlinna (2015, €300,000), Ruben Visser (2014, €225,000), and Noah Boeken (2013, €306,821). Ole Schemion took home the trophy in 2012 when the buy-in of the Main Event was €5,250. Schemion won €286,200 after he left 211 players behind him.

Main Event
Players will start the tournament with a stack of 30,000. The first level of the tournament will be 100/100 without an ante. The second level will be 100/100 but with a 100 ante. For the first time in the history of the Master Classics of Poker, the tournament will be played with a big blind ante. Blinds increase every 60 minutes on the starting days on November 23rd and November 27th. Players are allowed to re-enter every flight once and they have the option to do that once more at the start of Day 2.

The PokerNews team will be present to provide updates from start to finish as well as from the €25,500 Super High Roller that will be played out on Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25. The Main Event kicks off at 2 p.m. local time.
