Noon Kickoff for Day 1b of the Mediterranean Poker Party Main Event

Day 1b of the $5,300 Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party Main Event gets underway today at noon local time at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel here in picturesque North Cyprus.

Today will be the second of three starting flights, Players will have plenty of play as they will receive 100,000 starting chips and play a relatively short day of eight 60-minute levels, beginning at 200/400 with a 400 big blind ante.

There will be a 20-minute break after every two levels where players will enjoy the included buffet in the lobby made up of a spread of freshly prepared traditional Turkish food.

Day 1a was yesterday and attracted 132 total entries with 71 of those entries making it to Day 2. Denis Vitchenko led the way with a stack of 538,500 and Daniel Rezaei was second with 516,500.

One re-entry per flight is allowed, with late registration open until the end of Level 12 on Day 2. Those surviving Day 1 will return to play on September 1, with a champion being crowned on September 3.
