Set Over Set Rockets Clarke to the Top

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Patrick Clarke
Patrick Clarke

Nikolai Tulin raised to 4,500 from early position and received two callers before Patrick Clarke three-bet to 18,000 in the small blind. Tulin called, as did the button.

The flop came {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Clarke continued for 30,000. Only Tulin called to see the {5-Clubs} on the turn.

Clarke bet another 80,000 and Tulin moved all in. Clarke snap-called for his last 176,000 and showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a set of tens. Tulin shot up from his seat and slammed down {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens.

The river came the {8-Clubs} and Clarke doubled up in the massive pot to jump into contention for the chip lead.

Action was picked up on the river as the board read {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The pot had about 45,000 in it. From the hijack, Sofia Lovgren jammed all in. Wael Sarkis was on the button and called after a couple of seconds.

Lovgren showed him the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a flopped set. Sarkis stood up and showed the beaten {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} as he was busted.

Rebei's Stack Crumbles

Karim Rebei
Karim Rebei

Heads-up on the turn with the board showing {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and around 80,000 in the middle, Karim Rebei shoved all in for his last 55,000 and Robert Cowen snap-called.

Rebei turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} while Cowen had {9-Spades}{7-Hearts} for the turned straight.

"I'm dead. What a turn," a frustrated Rebei said as he got up from his seat, already drawing dead. The meaningless {6-Spades} came on the river and Rebei was eliminated.

"What a turn," he repeated as he made his way to the exit, his once-massive stack gone.

Rebei Shoves on Isaia, Takes Out Sboev in Massive Pot

Karim Rebei

Evgenii Sboev was already all in with 80,000 in the pot and a 25,000 side pot between Alessio Isaia and Karim Rebei as they went to the river on a board of {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Isaia bet 35,000 before Rebei shoved all in for 135,500. Isaia shot back in his seat and began muttering to himself as he went deep in the tank.

Several minutes went by as Isaia took a sip from his water bottle and started cutting out chips from his stack as he continued to ponder the decision. He eventually made a reluctant fold.

"Is two pair good," Rebei asked as he turned over {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Sboev showed {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} before making his exit as Rebei dragged in the massive pot.

Action was joined on the turn on a board that read {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. From the big blind, Camille Brown bet 6,500 and Niall Farrell called from the button.

The river was the {k-Diamonds}. Bown announced a bet of 18,500. Farrell took a moment of hesitation before calling after a couple of seconds.

Brown immediately said "Goddamn it," and tabled the {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} which Farrell had beat with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and he gathered the pot.

Georgios Tsouloftas
Georgios Tsouloftas

A massive pot of around 70,000 had already developed between Bruce Jones and Georgios Tsouloftas on a board of {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} when Tsouloftas bet 7,000 from the small blind.

Jones, in the big blind, raised to 50,000 and sent Tsouloftas deep into the tank for several minutes.

"What do you have, jacks," Jones asked his opponent as Tsouloftas continued to ponder the decision. He eventually decided to call.

"Good call," Jones said as he tapped the felt, showing {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for ace-high. Tsouloftas did, indeed, turn over {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} to take the pot and climb over 200,000.

Sofia Lövgren
Sofia Lövgren

The board read {8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} on the flop. From early position, Sofia Lovgren bet 2,000, Stephen Kehoe check-raised to 7,000 from the small blind and Lovgren called quickly.

The turn was the {9-Spades}. Both players checked. The river came the {4-Hearts}. Kehoe led for 4,200 into a pot of about 20,500. Lovgren waited a while before she moved all in for around 67,000.

Kehoe went into the tank and considered it for some time. After about three minutes he folded to send Lovgren the pot.

Nikolai Tulin
Nikolai Tulin

A player on the button bet 1,500 on a flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} and was called by Nikolai Tulin in the small blind. Sofia Lovgren made it 5,000 from the big blind and both opponents called.

The turn came the {a-Hearts} and action checked to the button, who bet 12,000. Only Tulin called as the river came the {9-Clubs}. Tulin this time led out for 25,000 and his opponent called.

Tulin turned over {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for flopped two pair and his opponent looked back at his cards before tossing them in the muck.

Rebei Isn't a Believer

Level 4 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Karim Rebei
Karim Rebei

Already with around 45,000 in the pot, Colin Gillon bet 19,000 from the cutoff on a board of {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and was called by Karim Rebei in the big blind.

The river came the {3-Hearts} and Rebei checked to Gillon, who shoved all in. "How much," Rebei asked as he stuck in the rest of his stack.

Gillon showed {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a pair of deuces, while Rebei had {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair on the river. The stacks were counted down and Rebei barely had Gillon's last 70,000 covered.

"I was pretty sure he was bluffing," Rebei said after Gillon made his exit.

"I was going to call just with my six," Rebei continued. "I didn't believe him. I'm a believer and a lover in my life."
