Reinis Reinbergs moved all in for 38,000 from early position. He was called by Dmitry Kolevnev in the cutoff. Both players waited as they waited for hands on the other tables to conclude.

Reinis Reinbergs: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Dmitry Koleznev: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Reinbergs was in rough shape as his ace was dominated by Koleznev's. The flop came {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades} which was no help for Reinbergs. The turn was the {6-Hearts} and the river was the {j-Diamonds} to ensure the bubble burst via Koleznev's elimination.

Stay tuned for full chip counts and an end of day recap.

Yasyuchenya Soaring After Eliminating Kopec

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Elena Yasyuchena
Elena Yasyuchena

Radoslaw Kopec opened from the cutoff and Elena Yasyuchenya called from the button.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Kopec continued for 12,000. Yasyuchenya made the call.

On the {10-Diamonds} turn, Kopec took about 45 seconds before he fired a second barrel for 15,000. Yasyuchenya needed a little more than a minute herself before raising to 35,000. Kopec would take over a minute before making the call himself.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Kopec took a little over a minute before leading all in for about 58,000. Yasyuchenya snap-called.

Kopec turned over {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}, having flopped two pair. However, it was no good and he was eliminated as Yasyuchenya produced {9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for the straight.

Kemal Aslan

The hijack opened to 5,000 and Kemal Aslan three-bet to 16,000 from the cutoff. Ufuk Erkman then four-bet jammed for 72,500 from the small blind and, after the hijack folded, Aslan deliberated for about 30 seconds before asking for a count. He then counted out his chips and finally made the call.

Ufuk Erkman: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Kemal Aslan: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Aslan was in a world of hurt as he was not only dominated, Erkman was suited as well.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, adding further pain to Aslan as he lost one of his three queen outs.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, which gave Erkman the flush and the win and Aslan was drawing stone dead.

The {3-Spades} completed the board and Aslan was left with just 9,000 chips behind.

Action was caught with 40,000 in the pot and Argery Argyrou, in the big blind, put in a bet of 15,000 on a {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades} board.

Stefan Drusca went deep into the tank and, after a couple of minutes, the floor was called. Drusca was given his 30 seconds to make a decision and flicked in three blue T-5000 chips after about 10 seconds.

Argyrou folded face down and Drusca scooped the pot without showing his cards. "I had king high. If I had a jack I snap-call."

Big Blind: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Yasen and Ossip Dealt Same Pocket Pair Twice in Under 30 Minutes

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Kevin Ossip
Kevin Ossip

An entertaining story was relayed to PokerNews from Table 2 as an extremely rare mathematical occurrence took place between Kevin Ossip and Yasen Dichev.

In two hands that took place in less than a 30-minute period, Ossip and Dichev were both dealt pocket kings and were later both dealt pocket tens and played to a showdown.

As the table is playing eight-handed, the odds of two players being dealt the same pocket pair at any one time is 1/174, which equals a 0.574% chance. The odds that this happens twice is 1 in 30,276 (0.0033%). The odds that these events would occur twice in a short span between the exact same opponents? Astronomical.
