Mekan Yusupov Eliminated in 6th Place ($17,000)
Level 34
: Blinds 1,250,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante
Alexander Goulder opened the action with a raise to 5,000,000 from under the gun. Mekan Yusupov called from the small blind, and Jakub Sterba defended his big blind.
When it checked to Goulder on the 8♥J♦3♥ flop, he put out a continuation-bet of 7,500,000. Yusupov check-shoved for 20,325,000, causing Sterba to go into the tank. After around two minutes, Sterba folded, and Goulder made the call to put Yusupov at risk.
Mekan Yusupov: 9♣8♣
Alexander Goulder: A♠8♦
Yusupov needed to find a nine on the turn or river to survive. The 6♦ came on the turn, followed by the 8♠ river, sending Yusupov to the rail in sixth place.
